4 Violins (2010)

Perhaps written as a response to spending too much time in front of a computer, 4 Violins is unusual as it was composed on paper to be performed by real people, rather than created entirely in a studio on computer. Of course, I then ended up playing all the parts myself and multitracking them on a computer, but let’s forget about that. The pieces are inspired by the American minimalists of the 1960s such as Terry Riley, Steve Reich and Morton Feldman.
